When 2018 hit, I was feeling a little uninspired with BLS. I knew I needed to regroup so I decided to take a break from social media. It was risky to scale back as a business but it ended up being key to helping me refocus. I was able to redirect this time to brainstorm on a new direction. Since you're reading this, you've laid your eyes on the outcome of my 'downtime' and I hope you like it!
During this 'time of reflection', I thought it would be fun to do a card challenge. I've always made cards for things IRL but decided to take it up a notch. I challenged myself to make a new card every week to appreciate a moment in my life that otherwise would go unnoticed. I've done this every week since January and I'm excited to share the results. Each week, I'll share the reason all my new cards were made.
First up: Your Hospitality Was Second to None. 🏡
This card was actually made for a before-Christmas-trip but I thought it still should count. Lucky for me, I make the rules. We visited our friends Kaitlin & Brent in Edinburgh, Scotland for the weekend. They let us crash on their blow up mattress, which is probably the best I've ever slept on. Alex was sick and a touch on the grumpy side (man cold to the max) so I figured this card was a must in thanking them for being great hosts.
Here are some photos from our time in Edinburgh. If you're there, Kaitlin & Brent have a high quality air mattress and their hospitality is second to none - cards don't lie 👌🏼 (jk don't contact them).
